This is one of those , a picture is worth a thousand words , deals .
I would suggest going to an alinement shop , ask or look for one of those posters on the wall that show tire wear patterns , it will match pictures with problems .
Also most shops will give an free est.
Then post what you find out .
The reason I say these is that are many wear patterns , and many of those can have multiple causes , so whats happing is to answer your ? would require a lot of info that you may not have [ picture ] .
How many miles on your truck ? do you drive on bad roads ?
 
The worst offenders are bad ball joints and bad tie rod ends. Jack up each wheel just off the ground and use a pry bar to move the tire in and out. If you see *any* motion in a ball joint, it needs to be replaced. Use a large slipjoint pliers and compress the tie rod ends. If there is any motion, the end needs to be replaced.

Lesser culprits are unbalanced tires and out-of-true wheels. Even less would be wore-out shock absorbers.

Are you experiencing cupping? 4X4's are notorious for cupping the outside edge of steer tires. I have just had to get used to rotating the tires regularly in all positions in order to get the most even wear possible.
