Well, today was the day we installed the fuel plate in my stock truck that I have owned since 1996. Everything went well and we I removed the stock plate it looked almost the same as the plate I was putting it. At first I thought it was the same plate. I think one of the ramps is alittle different but that is it. It is a #11 plate. I took the truck out for a test drive after we finished up and I shifted it from first to secound and then I mashed the trottle down and all 4 rear tires lit up(posi rear dually), I had to let off and shift 3rd and then stand on it again and it put you in the seat all the way to 3100 rpm's, I hit forth same thing then came fifth and the truck ran like it had a missile stuck up it's a$$. I let off a 100 mph and then I tried it driving easy and the truck runs like it weighs about 1500 lbs. It takes off so easy and pulls so hard I am affraid it is going to blow the clutch out of it. I want to thank JGK for selling me this and answering the many many questions I have asked him in the last 2 weeks, He has been very helpful and I thank him. My truck has instant throttle responce and it will catch you off guard. Damn bombing bug has just bit me but I must run from it as this little dang motor has enough power to waste my driveline. If anyone has not done this mod..... DO IT! best dang money spent... . now if I can stop spinning the tires and save the clutch I will be ok!!!:D :D Oo. Oo.

JWaters,

Music to my ears. I just upgraded the clutch on mine to handle a number 10 or 11. Only thing, the clutch bomb took all the bomb moola. Will have to wait for a couple of months for the plate and injectors.

#11

Well I only have 69,000 miles on it, so i hope I cant make the clutch live. I had the fuild in the trans and the rear changed this morning also, truck shifts better and easier.

Be careful now !!!! Its a bad addiction ,when I started out I thought I would be happy with 300 HP,Now at 450-475HP I still want more ,Dosent It feel like a 7000# Grand national now!!!!
My truck used to be able to pull on my stock 86 GN a bit so I had to put some mods on it ...
Pretty bad isnt it!!

gn

It feels great, still has a long way to go to catch the GN though:D But I do like the way it pulls, I just need to stop it here an not go any further!Oo. Oo.

Yea right JW ...

That's what I said when I slid the #11 all the way forward, then put in a dual disk clutch, then an HX40, then the 4k springs, then a #8. I figured something would break for sure ... then put in a #4, then the 0 plate, now looking for more turbo that'll spool like the HX40-16 with more bandwidth, all @ 5k'.

We need Smokaholics anonymous for our addicion.....
Its like a bag of lays potato chips ,You cant eat just one...
Too bad the parts didnt cost as cheap as chips!!!!!

Yep, exactly what I did. First a #11. Then a clutch, then a #10, then injectors. Now I'm thinking PDR cam, HX-40, etc. It's never going to end. :D

Soooo, my engine is bone stock. Should I slap a plate in first, injectors or what? DTT transmission is in the works, but I want more power.

Smokeaholics won't accept my application until I start bombing. Please help... .....

power plate

It thik if you are going to be reasonable and use something like a #11, go ahead and get it! I am glad I didnt go to a #10 beause I dont want to start sinking money into this truck because I over powered it. Get a #11 and have fun!!

Your welcome, JWaters. Glad you like it. Thanks for the compliments. My answers to you was the other half of the pay-it-forward attitude on the TDR - my way of paying back all the help I've gotten from this site over the past 3 years.

Anyway, what Rams-N-Hogs and zilla5. 9 said. I thought 350hp was enough for me. I'm at about 430hp give or take and I want more. $ and time are the only thing holding me back!

BTW: Start saving for a clutch! I lost mine at about 70K miles with that plate.
