universal muffler or silent might muffler??

I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some ideas on which one for me,magnaflow's 20" universal muffler or the Silent Might muffler,I am wanting to knock a lot of the drone out of the cab,I currently have a MBRP exhaust system and I love the way it sounds ouside but there is to much drone in the cab,what do yall think of me either adding the 20" universal to my MBRP or replacing the MBRP muffler with the Silent Might??

I have a Silent Might on my 06 MC. Quiet as stock, NO drone, and better turbo response; quicker spool-up and slower spool-down. It still has the CAT and resonator. I Love it.

Go with the Donaldson 51", better than stock and all most as quiet. Maybe a slight drone, at highway speed above 70mph. Cheap too. $94 at the local big rig shop.

Keep what you have and just add a second MBRP or Magnaflow as far forward as possible, it's the extra weight of the muffler as much as the packing materials that stop the vibration that causes the drone issue and this will save you some money too. We have sold a lot of the MBRP resonators (small muffler) on the GM and Dodges with great success!!

I realize this discussion is about an '03, but, Iwill repeat; Silent Might on my otherwise stock 06 equals NO drone. At all. None.

How far forward can you install the mbrp resonator,on my 03 the skid plate where it hooks up to the frame is in the way,am I suppose to mount it right on the very edge of it,cause its like 14 to 15 inches frome the bottom of the downpipe,the way it is now I have approx 1 inch from my exhaust to the skid plate bar,if I install it on the edge of the skid bar,I will have about 32 inches between the resonator and mbrp muffler,is that alright or is not going to do me any good???
