Who had the Suncoast TC, VB, Controller for sale??

I'm having some issues with threads

When I post a reply to a thread, I will lose the red envelope markers on all of the other forums for the threads with new postings. I guess I am just lazy, but is there a way to restore the unread messages in the forums? I use the dates and times now. It would be easier if they remained marked in red with the box to click for first new post.

New threads are shown by a down arrow in the subject line. That shouldn't be reset when you post unless you are logging in and out to post - which you shouldn't have to do. The red/blue links don't really function properly because of the way vbulletin works - every link goes to the same url (because it's a program) so that's why all of the colors change the way they do. Go by the down arrow icon for what's new since you've been to the site. You may also not know that if you click on that down arrow icon it will take you straight to the first new post on that thread.

I suspect it has more to do with being "inactive" on the site (other than replying to the single thread. ) If I have 10 pages of new, unread threads when I log in and leave the computer for say 30 minutes, all but the threads posted to during that time show as read. Haven't logged out or read them though. Sounds like 15w40 wants to get around this (and me too!) FYI - I usually click the arrow by the last posters name on the far right to go the their post.

That's a function of how vBulletin works and there's no getting around it. The "new" posts are tagged by your last visit time. Every time you click on something your last activity time is checked and updated. If you haven't had activity in the last 15 minutes then your last visit time is set to the last visit time. So if you don't click on anything for 15 minutes your new posts will be reset. One thing I did do is put the "get last days posts" link up at the top of the forums so that you can get all of the posts in the last 24 hours versus just your new posts.

It must be a vBulletin thing. After running the “Test” post all my new post have been reset but the down arrows are still there. I can live with that. :)
