Unusual Italian Diesel by DC

Here is a different-looking turbodiesel, it appears to be an Italian product of Daimler-Chrysler.



For some reason it makes me want a side order of bacon when I see it.

Its a SMART Car. They are really neat, the interior is top notch with two high back buckets. I don't remember seeing one that wasn't two-tone, personally I like the black/silver combo. Its the Ultimate City Car. In Italy they are expensive to rent but fairly cheap to buy. Last time I was there I had an AlfaRomeo 166 TDI (5 Cylinder Turbo Diesel) on the Autostrada my GPS recorded a top speed of 137 MPH. I wish the SMART car and Alfas would be available here.

I saw a few of those in Ireland last year... and a few in Taiwan as well.



They're awefully small... . almost look like you could fit one in a 8' pickup bed... .

when i was at the toronto auto show this february, they had some of the smart cars there [along with some other europe imports like the VW lupo... ]
