STARTING YESTERDAY I NOTICED THAT I WAS NEVER GETTING ABOVE 700 DEGREES. (LOCATED IN THE EGAUST MANIFOLD) . I HAVE BEEN RUNNING A CONSISTENT 900 MAX SINCE ALL MODS WERE COMPLETE. FUEL PRESSURE IS NEVER BELOW 8PSI AT WOT. BOOST IS UP TO 30 AT WOT WITH GOOD THROTLE RESPONCE. I HAVE NOTICED NO DECREASE IN POWER AT ALL(IT ACTUALLY FEELS PUNCHIER) I WILL BE FILLING UP IN THE NEXT 2 DAYS AND AM CURIOUS TO SEE MILAGE.

IM NOT COMPLAINING BECAUSE THE TRUCK SEEMS TO BE RUNNING GOOD, JUST CURIOUS AND AM LOOKING TO SEE WHAT OTHERS WITH SAME MODS RUN. THANKS FOR ANY INFO.

you may have picked up a little resistince in your wires going between the EGT gauge and the EGT probe. If its like mine, there is 2 connections under the hood, I think it was just 2 eyelet's held together with a small bolt. Try to take that connection apart and clean it. Next I would check out the connections on the back of the gauge. An EGT senser produces a very small voltage, the hoter it gets, the higher the voltage. I don't know the specs, but the manfacturs can set you up with that information if you need to test it.

You can also do a temp test with these things called "temple sticks" avalable at welder shops. It looks like a crayon. You mark the probe with and the mark will change colors at the temp level of the stick you bought. . Heat it with a propane tourch, when the temple stick mark changes colors, have your buddy read the

gauge (the temp will drop by the time you can get into the cab to read it if you do this by yourself.

I used the 1000 deg one for testing mine and it was within 50 deg.
