Update....5.9 In An '87 Ford

Sorry that I have'nt been around for a while, but life does like to throw in a bunch of curves. Anyway, after about 4 long years (yeah I know it's hard to believe), I've finally got my Ford alive and kicking. It's actually been on the road for 2 entire weeks now and hasn't left me stranded yet. Still got lots of little projects to do that number about a hundred, but It runs strong and blows a bunch of smoke. My biggest project for the future will be trying to figure out how to make my 518 transmission shift into OD and the lockup convertor work automatically. Right now they are on toggle switches and are truely a headache. It's still an old ugly truck... ... ... . ROFL.....

OK, maybe a little more direct of a question... .....


Has anyone swapped a 5. 9 using a 518 transmission behind it and done the automatic OD and lockup... ... maybe even using a 47RE which had the lockup on it from the factory? The toggle swtches need to be GONE.
