Update: Air compressors

Anything new in the small shop air compressor world? I need to get another compressor big enough for a small home shop. A little grinding, a little buffing, but mostly running tools.

I have an Eaton air compressor and a dryer unit for it, I've been really happy with it, it has an 80 gallon tank, two stage compressor, auto drain, 220 50amp montor. I've used it air tools, sand blasting, painting cars, etc...

Eaton is good. Lots of good compressors out there. So many, it is dizzying. Just wondering if something new came on the market in the last couple of years.

Rotary screw compressors have gotten smaller. Still expensive, but you can put one inside a 12x20 shop and not really hear it.

Since I retired, rotary screw air compressors are like Ferrari's and 21 yr old red heads.
