Well guys, 3200 miles on the 215 motor. Cummins placed the HP side power steering line on top of the motor mount. Wore a hole in the line. Since I drive 500-700 miles in a straight line, never knew I lost the pump AND the Booster pump as well. Cost ? ONLY $ 1,810. 00 Cummins is replacing the line and labor. Back to the motor... ... ... I must have a DUD... Actually do not notice any more pulling power than my ol wore out one. I pulled GVW at 23,000 lbs to Pittsburg, Pa. Even going up Jellico, Mtn in N. Tenn. My old 160 did the same performance. EGT & Temp is running cool just has NO power compared to what I replaced. Could this be a "break in" thing? Gotta tell ya, not too impressed or happy with this swap. Or Cummins for that matter. But thats just my $. 02 cents. It will be at Cummins Monday morning to fix the AC & to tell them of the off performance. But that Booster/Vac, pump is a high $$$ piece. Wow. Have a great weekend guys Mike
BTW, After a pull the eng. has a severe shake more side to side. Almost like a big block w/o a few wires off the plugs. This was going on with the 160 horse motoras well. Any ideas ??? After I get unhooked from the trailer and bobtail for a while w/o a load it gets better. Thanks, Mike
