I have found that it is not cheap but with a good machine shop you can change a 23 spline up to a 29 spline shaft
the shaft and the bearing that holds it are much larger (29 spline shaft on the left 23 spline on right)
23 spline bearing on the left 29 on the right.
To fit the bigger bearing the bore in the main housing along with counter bore in the front cover need to enlarged
it is important to make sure that the counter bore in the front cover is the right depth as it holds the input bearing in place. once the 2 bores are enlarged every goes back together just the same the only difference being the shaft its self and the bearing that holds it. total coast for parts and machine work about $350 depending on who dose the work.
