Upgrade 2nd Gen steering box

I have 1995 4WD 2500 truck with 8,800 GVW. My son had an accident with it. Took a hit on the RF wheel which pushed the axle back,bent control arms and snapped the pitman arm off of the steering box. Do not see any frame damage. Insurance company totalled it, but I kept it with the idea of using it as a parts truck. However, I have decided to resurrect it. Since, I have to replace the steering box, I am thinking of upgrading the steering box. Will a 3rd or 4th Gen box bolt up?

Not sure on the 3rd or 4th gen, but Geno's does sell an upgraded steering box. It is fewer turns stop to stop. I put on on my truck 5-6 years ago.
The best thing you can do is upgrade the track bar (if you have not already) to a 3rd gen track bar with the adapter kit.
