a 4x2 should be a LOT easier than a 4x4. i know a guy that did a conversion in a W250 (4x4) and he paid a shop to do it. it ran him i think over $2k just for the labor, maybe even more. that was on the 4x4 tho, so yours still should be easier. i believe you have to change the bellhousing, change the clutch/flywheel size, cut into and modify the floor of the cab, a different cross member, and im sure a million other things i left out. but thats at least somthing for you to chew on for now :D

I don't think the 2wd NV5600 has a speedo hookup. The trucks that had them I believe used the rear diff for speedo pickup.

Marty1 put one in his beautiful first gen. Search under his name, and it will list everything you will need from the back of the engine to the trans.

I cant say for a 2WD, but for the 4wd crew, I needed a trans, bellhousing, clutch and flywheel, I rerused the slave, I also used a nv5600 rubber mount although a 1st gen unit also works, I did have to relocate the crossmember back about 7", and the bigger thing is clearance with the floor. I had to do a 1/2" body lift (washers/spacers at the body mounts) to get the clearance as I did not want to cut my floor. As it is it may conact when I run it hard, but I will find out! :p

That is about it that I can remember. Hope it helps.
