What would be the safest, easiest power upgrade for my truck?

Also am looking to increase MPGs. I tow 4000lbs all the time. mostly highway. I get 14-15 mpg is this right? I want a little more power, nothing serious that will hurt truck.

can you have your truck down for a couple of days? Don~ swears by his extrude hone injector upgrade. A nice horsepower gain and better mpg to boot.

just one option :)

I just logged on to ask the exact same question. 2004 SO needs a little more. "Safest, easiest and won't hurt the truck. " These are key.

Keep the ideas coming please.

SO Upgrades

I am not sure what the real difference between my California 2004 SO and the HO everyone else got except less power. I thought that the SO might get better mileage - 13. 4 average over 15K miles is all I have been able to get. What would turn my SO into an HO?

it seems the Bullydog downloader is the best bet to make the SO into an HO-

because it is SOOO simple! and the 50hp setting is very tame and should be no problem on a stock truck- heck probably run a little better than the stock HO

Other options will not allow the later HP gain, and yet cost SOOO little ($435,wow)

Then in a few months (when the BOMB bug is in full effect) add a larger turbo, etc and load the extreme program and start whipping butt and taking names #ad

edge E. Z. at approx. 5000 miles and currently have 25000 with no prob.
