Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Upgrade Time....can I do it? Your opnion please

Okay look at my signature and then tell me if I am crazy.



I am going to swap the DD3's for Mach 4's and add a Smarty to the mix.



I don't tow often or that much weight. The truck is not a daily driver, I race it in the summer and drive it maybe once a month (6000 miles in a year and a half). I will drive with the comp OFF most of the time, comp will be for racing only.



So can my HX40 support the Mach4's and a Smarty, with occasional comp use?

How does the Hx-40 do cooling it right now around town and at the track? My thought would be that if you never tow with it then why couldnt you run the big injectors? EGTs couldnt be that out of hand right?

EGT's now with out the comp on are 1100 right now, with the comp on kill they hit 1400 at WOT.
