2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Upgrade to rear disc brakes?

I have a '98 &1/2 3500 with rear drum brakes. Had the drums turned and they botched it; made them out of round. Drums were re-turned to true but now no adjustment left in my emergency brake cable. I suspect the drums have been turned to their limit and I will soon need new drums. The dually drums are HUGE and I suspect very expensive. Anyone out there with experience converting to rear disc? How about cost/practacality/ease of installation? What I am really asking: is it worth it? Thanks for the responses.
