I have the 04. 5 with the 48RE automatic and us a pack brake. their lock up switch works fine. I pulled our 30 ft. wildcat out west for about 10,000 miles two years ago and everything worked great, except the pack brake air pump mounts directly above the fuel injector harness and don't you know that we were north of Yellowstone on Bear Claw highway at about 11,000 ft. and the injector harness grounded out 3 of the injectors. I got it to the dealer in Cody Wy and they found the problem and wraped the harness in a plastic loom, no problems since. I also run the SMARTY Jr on tow setting.
I just recently started experiencing sluggish shifts on cold mornings and had Garmon's Diesel put in a billet Torque Converter and new valve body, Trucks running Great w/98000 on it.
