Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fuel Sending Unit Repair Question

I've had mine in for about five months, and so far so good. Not a hard install, just a bit of a pain (as in unclipping the rod from the clutch pedal, working around the brake lines & stuff by the master cylinder - tedious stuff). But it works, and now I have the bonus of an adjustable clutch pedal.

When I first put it in I was really impressed with the feeling of the clutch and how much "better" it was than the stock setup. But after driving it for a while I'm pretty sure it was just a matter of the old master/slave just wearing out and getting a bit lumpy and the new setup being smooth again. The ratios are the same, so I'm not sure why I was expecting something different.

Nonetheless, I'm happy with the setup. The clutch is smooth again, and the hydraulics are much more beefy than the stockers so hopefully that translates into longer life. And the adjustable pedal is a plus.

When you swap out your master cylinder, use the spacer (between the cylinder assy and the firewall) from your original set. It's a little thicker and will lock the assemby to the firewall better.

for anyone who is interested, i just installed the upgraded hydraulics, and so far they are great, and installations was pretty simple.

I put them on last year after having replaced the stock hydraulics 3 times (have a 3,800 lb pressure plate). I've never had to adjust mine after the first time. Install was easy (make sure you take the plastic bushing off the stock master cylinder). Well worth the money IMO
