Im new to the site and have owned a used 99 2500 quad cab ctd since 2000. Its sad to say after 4 years i dont know much about diesel moters. I am looking to get more millage and moderite power gains for the truck but im not really sure what to go with since there seems to be about a million thing i can get for the truck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry about the spelling if there are any mistakes i tried hooked on phonix but i couldnt read the directions.

Go cruise around the 24 valve engine forum or the Products/Accessories 2nd gen forums. You should have lots of reading available.

First, get some gauges to monitor EGT and Fuel Pressure. If you have an auto, I would get a trans temp gauge also.

After that, you may want to look into a fueling and/or timing box. There are sevaral manufacturers. There are injectors, exhaust (reduce EGT's, intakes (reduce EGT's), Turbos, Drugs (nitrous, propane, water/meth). The point is, take a look over in those forums and do a search on any products that catch you eye. You should have hours of reading.
