My buddy gave me one off of his 94 engine. Is it for sure the one I want? I need to install it tomorrow.

Flexplate swap

Kevin,

FWIW, I installed a later model flexplate on mine and was a direct bolt up. Ordered it from Mother Cummins.

Thank you very much.

Today is change rear main seal and flexplate day then go pick up transmission to install tomorrow.

Greg, It is exactly what it says plus it has the starter ring gear on it. It is bolted to the crankshaft and the torque converter is then bolted to it.

Same here...

The 94' up are a better flexplate. The older ones are thin and have a tendency to crack or worse :--)

And you get a much better price on one from Cummins than anywhere else.
