4th annual (Unofficial) N.E.P.A. Chapter Fall Time Meet n’ Greet.

Long Island Cummins Ram Owners Club

Got the transmission and transfer case out, lets just say the transmission is broke:rolleyes: I haven't taken it all apart yet but it's going to get a total rebuild.

Well lets see... ... ... ... ... . Tim how about you come visit the little kids site some time?

What broke in it tim?
My DD is going in when i get home. Im in Jackson,GA now and it sucks!!!

Yeah, I haven't done much surfing since the company cracked down on internet usage. Things around the house make it difficult too. My input shaft has issues and the first gear on the aux shaft is toasted, there are no teeth left. I'm not sure what happened yet but it isn't pretty. Anyone got a G-56 cheap;) Will my existing clutch work with a G-56?

It should tim you will need the different clutch fork and i believe thats it, and i can get that if you need it, i gotta talk to the clutch gurus in the am so i will ask him and see what he says about ti. DD

It's not pretty boys, I can't seem to get the rest of the input shaft out of the transmission.

The right side next to the casing is supposed to be a gear, that is the end of the input shaft

On the good side my 5th gear nut looked great after 175,000 miles

I should be a little over 400 hp based on my last dyno and what I've done since. I had always run the factory fill, syncromesh I think but recently went to the redline oil in the transmission. I tried to pull the sled in 4th low, I took out the spiders in my differential and when I got that fixed the transmission died about 150 miles later. It's been sitting a while now and I just got to taking it apart. I am debating going to a G56 considering the cost of the 1 3/8 input shaft and rebuilding this one, especially since I can't seem to get the old input shaft out.

I think you're gonna have to burn it out Tim. Maybe you can split the ex-gear with the torch, then pull it out.

Hi Tim! Everybody is abusing each other on the club site. ;)

Don't have a clue where to find anything, sorry. At least you found one. Hope it's made in USA.

Hey, any idea where we can have a BS and wrench day out your way? We have a buncha guys that want to have a meeting, but nobody has a place.

Let me know if you think of anything.

Greetings from Michigan! You guys still alive?

I started working with a new environmental company in Oct. and got stationed in Mid-Michigan for a while.

Anyway here are a couple of pics from the site.
