URGENT: Suspension repair advice needed!

Can I get the lower ball joint of my lower control arm without removing the lower control arm, or must I bite the bullet and do it the hard way?

94 3500 2WD

You should be able to do it on the truck - You'll need a special ball joint tool though. I think I've seen the tool for less than $200, but don't quote me on it. It would be great if your local chapter would build a crib of specialty tools to borrow.

I pulled out the A-arm - that wasn't as much fun as an afternoon of motorcycling. I'll get it punched tommorrow. I'm trying to decide whther or not to rpelce the upper too while AI've got it all apart, even though the upper checks out OK.
