I'm tired of washing the soot off the back of my truck and camper. Has anyone tried this turn down piece fron Genos yet?

BTW, I bought a combo gauge kit from Genos. My installer "lost" (probably threw away with the packaging) the green light kit. I hate the yellow because its too bright. I called Genos and they sent me a replacement kit free of charge. The thing arrived within a few days. I know it's not an expensive item but it's nice to do business with people who actually give a s... for a change. Kudos to Genos Garage. Oo.

Kurt, The "Leaf blower" tip works great for keeping the soot off the side of the truck and yes Geno's customer service is second to none. :)

Please, NONONONO :D :-laf

If you just have to put that turn down on, make it removable. Nothing shows the age of a person more than slapping on a turn down exhaust tip. They were designed for ol' geezers. :p :-laf :-laf

phloop!!!!!!!!!!!

I like turn downs.

You are killing me! :{

I was just thinking about me turning 40 in Febuary and you had to make a post like that! :-laf

Hey, don't feel bad. I just turned 40 myself in September. :--) :{

When I said ol' geezer, I meant OLD :D like dirt. :-laf

:eek: :-{} :p :-laf

I'm 45 and prefer big open pipes, but prefer a clean truck/camper more. This tip went on my truck when it was about 2 months old. It works keeping the truck clean, and the tip itself cleans up pretty well. 2 salty winters and the chrome looks like when I installed it.

Does the sound change with a turn down? I'm not old enough for it yet. but i was just wondering.

LOL

yup, I check id before selling turn downs. Most the young guys don't even ask anymore, as they know I'll card 'em :)

Hey! I'm an ol' geezer(64), but don't have a turndown on mine! :D I don't like the looks of the "leaf/dust blowers" either!

Someone educate me. Whats a turned down exhaust tip have to do with the drivers age? :confused:

In any case, I guess being 50 something qualifies me for one. Oo.

Shortened my pipe a little and put on turn down and painted the whole assembly flat black and it hardly shows. Keeps the fender clean and still looks inconspicuous. Jim

Well, I just installed my turnned down chrome piece. I cut about 4 inches off the tail pipe. The whole thing took 10 minutes, most of it because my blade on the sawzall was dull.

Anyway, the thing looks great, goes well with my round nerf bars and does a great job of keeping the soot off my fender.

You know you are a Dieselhead when you use your CTD as a Leaf blower!! "Honey, can I have a twin turbos, it would make my truck a better Leaf blower?" Moose
