US Gear OD

Do any of you out there in TDR Land have an ETH/DEE that you have had a US Gear OD unit installed on your truck? How much should I expect to pay for the same installation?? Thanx...

I have a GV so I can't answer your Questions but you will love the gear split between direct and od/ od and double od. Put the rpms right where you need em.

US Gear on 5-Speed. I believe the box was $2200 and the adapter kit around $200. Local shop did drivelines for me $75 shorten rear $125 to lenthen front. The adapter kit it the only variable cost but ranged between 150 - 300?.



I haven't mastered shifting it yet but it seems it may be rough with an auto. It is a unsynced gearbox. Gearvendors might be more pleasurable for you but don't know your sit. I went US gear because I use 4X4 and Exhaust brake both which can't be used with GV.

Thanx for the replies. The DEE trannie is a whole differant animal. So far the quote is over $3K to install it. I am really considering doing the install and just keeping my truck and not buying an '03.

Call US Gear at 800-874-3271 when prompted for extension type 659, this will give you Bruce. He should be able to give you a round about price and a list of shops in your area so you can call them and get a exact price.
