Used '02, worth the risk?

'02 24 valve 6 speed longbead slt, 102K mi. New tires, mechanically looks ok. BHAF, turbo not quite brite silver (hint of gold color), not factory electrical tape at VP44, electric brake controller in cab. This was somebody's work truck, the bed is pretty well used, and it's obviously been towing. I think it was bombed. Dealer asking $19. 5K, retail book $22. 5k.



Why did the dealer drop the price so fast, and is it worth the risk? Starts good, drives good, shifts good, no codes. 90 day warrenty from the dealer.

Yeah. . I keep coming back to this. But then I look at payments on a new one and run screaming. Besides, i won't put 5K mi a year on it... so It'll just sit here hardly broken in when the warrenty goes out.



Just found a 92 5spd. Asking is too high, but I'm gonna try to buy it.

Made an offer on a private party 92 tonight. Guys asking high blue book for an average condition truck. Mechanicals are sound, but oxidized paint, rusty rockers, and mediocer tires. Offered too much, but it is the truck I want, and not many around.
