crude oil in montana ???????

New Bio reactor

Could anyone one with some firsthand experience give me some advice on running used cooking oil after it has been strained and you add the other components, am not converting my truck, just wondering about used oil and am new to the game, thanks, Alex

Our schools generate tons of used cooking oil. However. . it's nasty stuff. You'd really have to want to take the time to clean this mess up.

They return it to the 2. 5 gallon container and after it sets for a day it's 60/70% fatty grease. The only oil is floating on the top. What do you do with the fatty grease? Throw it into the ground hog holes?

I do not use any of the waste oil generated here in our three kitchens. The smell alone is enough to turn anyone off.

I was told by the higher-ups to use it as waste heating oil... this apparently is the idea of some jerk on the school board who doesn't know the difference between a piston and a cylinder head. They want to despose of it in a manner which will not cost them any money. Man them guys are dumb. I'm suprised they don't tell me to use it as engine oil.

How do you answer the 1st with out ******* off the 2nd ?
The diesel engine was invented over 100 yrs. ago by Rodolf Diesel in Germany , and he intended farmers to have a tractor that they could make there own fuel [ vegitable oil ] .
there is basicaly 2 ways to go , 1 used cooking oil, filter very well and use a fuel preheater , start on petrol diesel till eng. is warm , then switch to bio. / veg.
some time before turnning eng. off switch back to petrol , to get bio out of fuel system , then shut down . - not my choise -
2nd is transesterfication , using lye & methinall alchol [ to early to spell ],
this is to remove all water & gliserin [ about 20% ] and just put in tank , no mods , except if you have rubber fuel hoses , about 94 and earlyer .
Lots of info under the alterntive fuels form .
I've got it figured to about . 40 cents per. gal. after collecting used oil and my labor , the . 40 is the lye , meth , and electic .

If I was closer I would be happy to take that cooking oil off your hands.

these guys make a processing unit that sells for 3000 dollars

it allows you to emulsify 40 gallons in about 24 hours

apparently it will cost you 70 cents per gallon

they also sell filters and receptacles

as a chef this is the direction that i am heading toward

we'll start emptying our fryers into receptacles in the next few months
