I was just curious since I've been looking on eBay and here and I have a line on some injectors.

Is there anything to watch out for with used injectors?

If you are buying injectors that have only had the tips replaced [jammer nozzles]... make sure that they have been pop tested.

It's a set of RV275 injectors, ~5000 miles on them for $200 shipped.

Sounds like a pretty good deal?

Not really a good deal when they only cost $280 brand new. I wouldn't do it.

I have a set of DD3's (extrude honed) that you could get for $350... .

It would be good practice to have any used injector pop tested and get new copper washers. With that said I have swapped a few sets around and never had them tested or used new washers, no problems at all.

Cummins724, where do you get them for $280? O Poole shot me some info, can do $300... . I was thinking it's worth it, being that they are new and all.

Before I posted, I had searched and seemed like the RV275s were ~$400 or so.

As for the other injectors... I really don't have much more than $200-300 to spend on this. It's my Christmas present to myself :D

I'd love to put big sticks and all, but then I'd need a turbo, transmission, etc, etc, etc

I got my RV275's shipped to my door for $280 from Goff diesel in Utah. definitely shop around, I wouldn't pay 200 for a used set personally.

I see them all the time on ebay for $280 buy it now price. I've seen the 300 hp injectors which as I've read are the same injector, but called 300 by some people. I'll check out ebay & see, but I believe that I saw a set last night. If Opoole has a set for $300... I'd go with him, because everytime I've heard of guys talking about him... I've heard nothing but good things. I bet he wouldn't give you no B. S. about a return if you had a problem either. I've read threads from him & he seems like a honest, helpful guy to deal with. [no I'm not a kiss ---] I don't know him. :D

There bullydog. I got them on trade when i got rid of my 150's. I had them in for a couple weeks and took them out to dyno and never put them back in. I dont know how many miles that are on them. They drove good, i had no problem out of them just feel there to small for the turbo. If i turn the box on they would be alright but i just want the injectors and smarty to drive around.

Depending on if you want them i cannot do anything for the next 2 weeks. Im leaving sunday for Silver Flag and will not be back until the 16th.

Nate, check www.citydiesel.net , they had a good price last time I looked. Got mine used for $200 installed, I wouldn't pay that much for just the used injectors.

On edit: never mind, looks like the price went up... sorry. Maybe you should consider Jammer 3 tips, I can get you a decent price on those, pm me if your interested.

Ebay item #120058670510..... Buy it now price is $249. 96 & shipping is $16. 63. Even cheaper than I said previously.

10-4. I'll probably bid on them.

The 100hp injectors are nice, but I don't have the ~$650 for the Mach 1. 6s. I figure I can run this RV sticks and if I get tired of them, I can sell them on eBay or something.

Also I'm guessing if the box numbers aren't lying, I have ~60hp for the Smarty and another 60hp for the TST... So I'm sitting at ~335hp right now. My transmission can only hold so much :D

Hey guys...

I got the injectors off eBay.

Now, are they supposed to have a part number on them somwheres??? What I have, they don't have any numbers, markings, etc on them

In this pic, you can see there's markings on the end:

Also the end that the nozzle is on, there's a hex part, like you can unscrew it. It is normal for brand new injectors to have marks on it like it was screwed together? I'm just wondering if they aren't new or something??

Just seems a bit odd to me.
