I am wanting to swap in some RV 275 injectors and wondered what you all think about if someone offered some used ones with 8-12,000 miles on them. What should be I be leary of. They said they rebuilt the engine and wanted bigger. What can i look at when i get them to see if they are still in good shape?

Thanks

CH

My local injection shop charges about $15 (ea)to do a minor clean and test. well worth the piece of mind

I would have a couple of questions about the injectors. First, are they Bosch injectors or a chinese made knockoff? Second, why is the engine being rebuilt after only 8000 miles on these injectors? If they are indeed Bosch injectors ,is the price reasonable enough for you to have them checked and pop tested? You can purchase new ones for $230-$250 with some shopping around and IMO this would be the wise thing to do.

I would have them pop tested. That way, they can take the nozzles out and check the part # on them while they're at it to make sure they are indeed the 275's. The part# on the injector bodies should end in 635

For $40 I'll sell you a set of nozzles only. I ran them on my p-pump converted motor for about 4-5k miles, and then took the nozzles off when i turned my cores in for some DDP injectors.

George,

I am looking for some RV275's for my 2001 HO. You indicated you can purchase them for $230-250 range. Are these Bosch RV275's for that money? I want some. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!!

maxburk,

If you can find them, buy them! I added the 275's (from Joseph Donnelly--thanks Joe) and the DDTTPM (level 2) to my 2001 HO. What a fantastic mild (and reliable) power upgrade--30-psi boost! I also purchased the South Bend Con O clutch (from Blair Pine--thanks Blair) to accomidate the upgrade, but being gentle, my stock clutch is still hangin' in there at 118k miles.

That's a good combo. ;)

Phil, are you going on saturday to Bakersfield?
Lemme know
Hey Joe, So far I'm slated to work that day, but there is a chance that may change. Hope to see you there! Would like to get some current dyno numbers also (without spinning the little turbo into orbit). .

Sorry for the hijack, back to our regularly scheduled injector program. . Lovin' those little 275's. .
