Hi all,

I have a 1989 D250 I am in the process of swapping in a NV4500 and, I'm looking for a used stock clutch disc or aftermarket that will work with a stock pressure plate, not looking to get a bunch of miles out of it, I am in the process of getting this truck going for a few months (like 4-5 months) before I swap out the drivetrain, then the disc will go in the scrap pile. at that time I will be buying a new clutch (most likely South Bend) and the minor oil leaks will be fixed hence, why I am looking for a short term solution.

The one if have is not the greatest, but if I dont get a response before 12-20-13, the old one will go back in.

Figure I would see if someone wants a few bucks for something they have in their collection

Regards,

The Getrag and NV4500 have the same input spline size, so you could get a new clutch now. It s unlikely that the leak is getting on the clutch anyway, but you can check before installing the new one.

Joe,

True enough, same spline but I don't see info on which cover Jim is using. The original 13" cast iron cover has a 10mm thick disc, compressed. The 12 1/4" NV4500 used a much thinner disc. Needs to be used in matching cover and disc config only.

Hi,

My bell has lots of oilly residue, but none on the pressure plate or clutch, plan is to reseal the motor when it comes out, hence why I dont want to buy the 800 clutch just yet not to mention its 30 degrees or colder out and want to spend the least amount of time on the garage floor.

The pressure plate I have is a cast iron one, I also have one of my 99 from a Centerforce dual friction and have the stock flywheel from that as well, looking like I will end up putting the old one back in, but figured i'd check as no one sells just a disc cheap enough to justify buying one

thanks again
