I am having a LL-Up clutch issue on my 98. 5 with the Blue Box on any setting. The pressures are fine. I even adjusted the kickdown cable slighty quicker to shift later and stiffer. Empty, it is a moderate problem. Slide-in and boat, it is a bigger problem.

Anyway, all you upgraders, anyone want to swap OEM converter(plus a little), so I can get another 50k miles before I upgrade/rebuild? I am planning on doing the swap myself with a friend.

maybe, but....

I might be interested. I'm looking to get a DTT upgrade soon. However, when you put in a new TC they usually want the old one or they charge you a core charge of about $200( I think)

ct , i sent you an email , i will have one this weekend , may not get you another 50k miles though , if your slipping what you have you will probably slip the next . ;)

MacTruck, I am aware of this. If I can atleast ride in your vehicle to know all appears well, we can start the process, and come to a financial agreement to help offset your DTT costs.

I am not certain who is going to do the swap for you. You will obviously buy up front, pay core up front, and get credit later I would guess. If this is the case, that will allow me to pull apart mine, ands give you mine as a core. It still works fine in stock mode, so it will be a fine core.

I see you are in Marlborough, not far from me.

Please e-mail me with a phone number, and we will talk.

ct , many of the DTT cores are smoked like yours is . mac is another nonbombed ram , how his tc reacts behind a stock hp won't be the same behind a bombed cummins , i put 26k on my stock tc with more hp than you have and maybe slipped my tc once .

Hey Mopar-Muscle, glad to see you posting again. Just a thought, how about updating your signature to show your E. T. and speed? Kind of an incentive for the BOMBing bug.

CTDODGERAM: If anyone is going to work on my transmission, it would be Mopar Muscle in Mass. DTT I believe is the only way to go. As it stands now I have 8500 miles on my truck. I am weary of BOMBing my motor until I get a DTT upgrade FIRST. also listen to Mopar muscle - he knows his stuff. If your having problems with your stock TC might as well upgrade to a DTT transmission.

Check it out at http://www.dieseltrans.com

They list the TC core charge at $300, so we'll tak email me or I' ll swing up to you. Your only about 30 minutes away.

Darn, can't figure the new set-up for an e-mail address.

Mactruck, I agree, Mopar Muscle is the way to go. I have spoken and met him. Unfortunately, I am not prepared (or able) to seperate myself with the cost of a total rebuild at this time. If I were, MM/DTT would be my choice. I drove his truck, and very much liked the transmission.

Hence, my reason of another stock converter. If you only have that many miles, I am sure your converter is okay. When is MM planning on doing your install? This will allow me to tear mine down, and swap with you.

It will not cost you any more to use mine as a core, but obviously I am willing to pay a little for your efforts.

Please e-mail me at -- email address removed -- with your phone number. Maybe I can take a ride down your way before you plan the install.
