I've been contemplating a new turbo and am wondering what mine might bring if I wear to sell it used (ebay wasnt much help as for a general idea). It's not the orginal turbo, it has 38,000 miles on it and according to the dealer I bought it from has some sort of update on it (but you got me what that is  ). Has zero play in it, one small sctrach from removing the silencer ring, and a small spot where the alt. harness sparked against it when I was putting a new alt. on.

So what might it be worth?

TIA

Nathan

I'm not real sure, the part about the update makes me wonder if it's an HX35. But I know the truck came stock with a WH1C. Guess I need to go out and take alook at it to see which one it is.

I sold my factory 177k WH1C for $100, was in good shape no play.

I bought a modified HY35 with 40k on it for $200

I'd try to get at least $300 for a HX35 in good shape with that low of mileage.

How do ya tell the type/model?

Will this fit on a 90 12 valve and increase boost?

Here is how you tell the difference.

90 came with a 21 or 18cm housing. I imagine a WH1C/12 or HX35/12 would produce higher boost numbers (if you disabled the wastegate) because of their smaller exhaust housings.

if it's an HX35 w/ 38k on it and you provide nice pictures and have good feedback, it should go w/ a $250 buy-it-now pretty dang quick.

I sold a 95k HX35 for $200 buy-it-now the first day I posted it.

better to make $250 today than $300 three months from now...
