... maybe I'm overly suspicious, but where did this guy get what appears to be plastic covers for the injector lines and the neat cardboeard sleeve on the gear shaft? This looks suspiciously like a guy who has replaced an ailing VP-44, and is now trying to unload his old defective one for better than the core value - and WHO would pay the $800 "Buy it now" price for an unguaranteed, USED VP-44 anyway?

Those are some good observations. Yeah, those plastic caps and cardboard sleeve probably came off his new pump.



800 dollars is ridiculous. I don't think i could ever buy a used VP-44, even at a "reasonable" price.

And its sitting on the plastic bag with the corosion preventing paper strip still inside, he has no other parts for sale from the "wrecked" truck this came off of, is it a SO or a HO pump? they are different, also only a 92% positive feedback on a 36 score is not good odds.
