I was reading on the TSB about programming the Keyless entry fobs. my truck has keyless entry, but no fobs. I got a fob from a 99-ish ram. According to the tsb, it says that any remote can be used if the dealer prgrams it. Is this true??

Hello,

I have a 98 Ram and this is what is on the back of the remotes:

Chrysler P/N: 56021903AA

Model/FCC ID : GQ43VT7T

Canada : 147C K1361

This is a common remote you can buy on Ebay.

I would think that if your remote has the above info on it a Dealer would be able to program it to work on your 98 Ram.
