Using Oil ??

Thought I would ask the experts,

Checked my oil today looks like it is somewhat low on the stick, not sure cause the truck was running about 3 hours before I checked it. I am going to check it in the AM. Is it possible to use oil ? If so How?

The truck has 4000 miles, I changed the oil at 1500 miles put in Delvac 1300 super, 2500 miles on new oil.

When I check my oil right after the truck has been run it's always about 1/2 a quart low on the stick, this is normal. It takes a while for the oil to all drain back down into the pan. In the morning before start-up, it's fine. With only 4000 miles on your motor the rings probably haven't seated yet. I have found it takes about 10 to 15,000, depending on if you're towing or not, to seat them. Until then it will use a little oil. Seems normal, this is my 2nd DC and my father has had 4. All use some oil until 10,000 or so.
