I am building yet another one of these funky land cruisers with a 4BT diesel. . This one is 105 hp stock, I want to try to get up to maybe 150 or 160 hp :) And do it with as little smoke as possible... Anyone know of a dyno in SLC that will let me come down and make adjustments and such, preferably a resistance type dyno if possible? I also need to find one that can hopefully tell me what RPMs I am running as to I can adjust my tach to match. . Thanks guys...

I think your both thinking of the same place. It's just off the prison exit to the west, 7th or 8th west I believe. Not sure if they have a dyno or not but I usually get all my filters and what not from them, great people. I would give them a call, if they can't help you most likely they know someone that can.

Now, I'm looking for someone hopefully locally who has a few blown up Gen I or Gen II 12 valve engines that I could rob some parts off. Any of you Utah guys out there, I'd love to come and do it in person. . I have been posting over in KSL classifieds but little response so far. . :(

I just dyno'd at Gillette, nice folks to work with, no complaints at all. Theirs is a Mustang load type dyno. I have read posted that it is a tough dyno and that Mustangs will read a little lower HP and higher TQ than a Dynojet.

I have not substantiated this, just read it.

The folks at Industrial Injection recommend the Dynojet at 30/20 performance auto in SLC. Brett posted that it is an accurate dyno.

I would love to see a comparison with the same vehicle on both dynos.
