Parking camper, do you pull the brake cable?

I want to add electric brakes to my utility trailer. Its a 7X14 trailer with tandem 3500# axles.

I've found the backing plates and hubs I need, but just need to know - If I'm only putting brakes on ONLY one of the axles, which one would be the best to use? Front, or back?

Thanks,

Ben

If you are only going to have brakes on one axle of a tandem with equalizer links between the front and rear springs the brakes definitely need to be on rear axle, the torsional force of the axle when brakes are applied pushes down on the equalizer and tries to lift the front axle and puts more weight on the rear axle. bg
