Braking Horsepower?

Hard to be humble

I had posted about the UPS vans. Most around here are 4BT with chevy auto. I foudn Utilimaster vans that use the Ford drivetrain behind a 4BT. Does anyone know where there is a boneyard that might have these or how I can get some info on these vans... THanks, Marc

Utilimaster is a body company. They build step van bodies on a number of chassis. They use Ford, IHC, Freightliner and Workhorse (gmc). All of the step van that I have seen with 4tb used either a Turbo 400 or a New Process 4 speed.

Check in your area for a truck dismantler they should have a couple of step vans. BTW the larger vans on the IHC chassis use the DT 544 engine, the Freightliner chassis can have either a 5. 9 or 8. 3 Cummins in it.

There is a guy in Decatur Indiana that buys fixs and sells step vans. I can't think of his company name right now. If you want just the engine , there is a place in Wisconsin that is a savage yard. I will try to locate both tomorrow at my office.
