Is there a "box" or powerchip for the V-10?

The Mopar performance catalog has all kinds of hop-up goodies for the V-10. Headers, cams, engine control modules, etc. Don't know about the non-OEM aftermarket.

Most of the chips that are available require the use of 93 or better fuel nad a 160 stat. And the chips severely limit towing capacity. I have talked to a few manufacturers (such as Jet) and they are about the same. When I called Hypertech, teh rep said that they have not been able to come up with a combo that is worth the money. Their goal was to not require hihg octane and would not limit towing. The best mods I have heard of are a cat-back (NOT GIBSON!!!) Thorley HEaders, Comp cams 1. 7 roller rockers, Comp cams bump stick, Fastman TB, and a ram-air setup. So far I have a cat back. My numbers to the ground are 246hp / 389tq. The V-10 seem to respond best to the old fashioned mods.

Cat Back for the V-10

I did 2 Flowmasters. They were 2. 5", center outlet, 4", 3 chamber. Really works on these animals. Others that I told got different mufflers & they didn't work as well. I think the # was 42550?



If you do headers, do the Doug Thorleys. They are the tri-y design & beat the others in the tests!
