I agree! And my experience with two Jetta TDIs has been very positive.



If my conversions are right, the Touareg TDI should get something like 25 mpg highway/15 mpg city/20 mpg combined per this link.



Did you know there's already a chip available in Europe for the V10 TDI? Boosts output to 385 hp/980 nm (~723 ft-lbs) according to this (toward the bottom of the list).



If the V8 gasser costs $42K, I wonder how much the TDI will be?

I've raced against one on a Highway. Poor guy you should have seen his face!



The V-10 starts @ about 68. 000 Euro. Assuming 1 Euro = 1 US$... ... ... . :--)



That's for a stock car. Loaded it's near to 80. 000 Euro:--) :--)
