Hey Guys, my 99 2500 started getting hard to start and the check engine light came on so I figured it was the lift pump and called Dodge and they told me it was an in the tank pump and cost $350. 00. My computer was down and I didn't want to drive around and burn up the V44 so I tood the Ram down to Dodge for a diagnostic and they first said it was the V44. Then they did a pressure test and said it was the lift pump which was not under waranty due to being on the outside of the engine! My computer was up by this time and I knew what was going on so I went to Cummins and put on the pump myself. It helped for a couple of days and then went south again. Back to Dodge and they again said the lift pump was dead. Cummins replaced the pump and Dodge put it in, at my exspense--no change in engine then they said the Prime-Loc was sucking air, so P-L overnighted new O rings and still no change in engine. Now Dodge says it is the V-44 but refuse to honor the 100,000 mile waranty because I have 86,000 miles on the engine and they say that is over the 100,000! Now what do I do?

Why do they say it is over 100,000 miles? Is that what the ECM tells them? If the odometer says 86k and they have nothing to say otherwise how can they fight that?
