I was wondering if anyone has used the VA box and 275 injectros with an aoutmatic? If so, any problems?

I ma condsidering these mods as well as 4" exhaust and gauges. This truck rarely pulls heavy loads, and is a daily driver.

Depending on how you drive it may be ok. Noticed I said may. The injectors by themselves might not cause any problem. Id definetly think about a BD torque converter and shiftkit if doing any serious Bombing.

I agree with Michael. It all depends on how you drive. I must admit though, it is tough to keep your foot out of it when you have that much 'zip capability. ' You can always look at it this way: Drive it until the TC goes out, then replace it with a stronger TC. #ad

randy i think that's a bad way to look at it , if you lunch the convertor clutch you'll need to do a complete trans flush to get all that bad stuff out . #ad

jeff , if you go with injectors and don't drag race or do brake stands you'll be ok , same can probably be said for inj's and VA but once you start to abuse the power you WILL pay for it , if you can swing it get the convertor and VB first or at the same time , in the long run your trans and your wallet will thank you

Mopar,

In essence I was trying to say that humorously. The idea of replacing a TC makes me cringe, both financially and with the knowledge of what I had done to my truck. The main point was, driven responsibly, the injectors and VA should not cause any major problems. But, in the event that problems DO arise, it would be a viable excuse to replace the stock TC with one that would fare better under the added torque and HP gains of the VA and injectors. Besides, IMHO, if you have to replace the TC because you've fried it, it would be a smart move to flush the transmission at the same time anyway.

Sorry for the confusion.
