The drive gear broke on vac. pump assm. way before it's time the gentleman that repared it,someone I trust, has a lot of experience on ram cummins says he has not seen this before as the truck has only 53,530 on the the clock and now I am a little perplexed on if I should keep it or not. I rebuilt the AC,(replaced com. )new waterpump redone the radiator I am afraid my trusty Ram turning into a money pit! Input welcome TIA 6

gould says when the injection pump gets replaced, it is possible to drop the shaft key, If you do not retrieve it, it can destroy the vacuum pump gear.

Original injector pump, at this point I am very concerned by not doing the fix on the Dowel Pin, anybody have a ruff idea on what that would cost in a shop I know the kit is $65. 00? Back issues my surgeon say's if don't follow instructions he was not going to fix my back again. I would really like to keep the truck:confused:
