Adding lights when towing trailer ?

saw this at RV dealer...rebranded Honda genset??

Thinking about trying the New York state for vacation this year, Looking for any and all info any one might have, not really interrested with new york city,Home is St. Louis so I will have a two day drive to start with. Thank's Don

There is a great state park near lake Placid named Fish Creek, most of the sites are right on the lake, I go up there for a week every year, tough to get a reservation though, they allow reservations to be made 9 months to the day in advance. The park claims to be the most utilized in the NY state park system. Only downside to some is no hookups at all.

We did lake george two years ago it was beautiful... Did smokie Mts n. c. last year, nice place ,Oceancity Ma last year also...

Don,

Where to start ----

For a low key Adirondack mountain experience with water and lottsa beaches (mostly in the fall) the Great Sacandaga Lake is great. The state Northhampton Beach campground is nice -- not sure about hookups. The lake George Village and "white water" rafting are drivable from here.

As stated before, Lake George is nice but the southern area is VERY commercial.

Lake Champlain - wow. There is a campground/marina someplace in Willsboro that is quaint. This lake is very underdeveloped.

The Thousand Islands area on the NYS/Canada border is absolutely stunning. Wellesely Island state park is beautiful and well maintained. A visit to the wooden boat museam in Clayton is worth the trip by itself!

The Finger Lakes area (Senaca, Cayuga, etc) is beautiful as well and offers many attractions including winery tours.

I could ramble on much more ----- let me know if you want more info.

Upper NY area camping

FJ Fonda,

Thanks for the information. If you wouldn't mind I was wondering of you could tell me how many miles Lake George and Thousand Islands area are apart? The wife thinks she would like the Lake George area and I think I would enjoy the Thousand Island area. Thanks, Don

About 180 miles on non-interstate roads. The major highways really don't go between the two areas so if you are towing, plan for additional time.
