I have installed a Pac Brake. The problem I have(or maybe not a problem) when the truck sits for about 24 hours there is no brakes . I loose all the vacume on the foot brake until I start the truck and then I get the brakes back. I checked all the fittings they are tight, unless it is the vacume solenoid for the brake leaking by. ? Any thoughts or wisdom? #ad

ROCKYMNT,
Seems normal to me. Power assist brakes only work when power source is operational. In the case of the model Rams up to 96 vacuum is used to make the brake booster help out in braking. Gas engines create their own vacuum (if engine isn't running no power brakes) our Diesel's have a vacuum pump to create vacuum to run the brake power booster.
The 97's on up use power steering fluid to run the power brake booster.
They have the same habit if engine isn't running(power steering pump not pumping) no power brakes.
You still have manual brakes (or so they say) it just takes a lot more elbow grease (Knee grease) to make them work, that is to stop the vehicle.
