Not a fan of them, had first one of them and the problem is with the vacuum it pulls air along the thread of the bleeder screw, and that shows up in the hose then. So you have a hard time to determine the system is bleed or not.

Later I got one that works from top with positive pressure and refills the reservoir at the same time - that works like a charm.

I'd never go back to the vacuum system.

Bleed screw thread vacuum leaks can usually be reduced to near nothing by several wraps of Teflon tape on the threads ONLY.

I have not used them but I got these speed bleeders where they are spring loaded deals.

I got them from Amazon, they are also.in Summit and Jegs.

Just Crack and pump and they bleed out and seal on the return.

This is not the exact part number for a Ram just an example of what I got form my other projects.

But the pressure ones are pretty slick and I like what Ozzy said about it refilling the MC what's pretty cool.

What kind is the one you have

Here’s another question ? The bleed screws are supposed to be pointed up or down every one of these I’ve had they are pointed up

Speed bleeders work good but I still like the good ol push brake pedal crack open bleeder close bleeder lift pedal repeat until fluid runs clear and bubble free.

That works great if you have a helper. He stated he did not. Also, if there is a rough spot in the master cylinder, you run the risk of damaging the rubber cups. But, whatever works for you is your best method.

You can also take a propane regulator and use it as a low pressure regulator. I take one and run my compressor through one, then through an air dryer to a tire valve stem in a brake master cap. Allowed me to bleed my brakes with components that I had around the house. I'd say the output pressure was 1 - 2 psi at most. Might take a bit longer then a pressure bleeder without the expense. I have had really good luck with vacuum bleeders and easier to keep the master topped off, some grease on the bleeder threads help keep air out.

I have one wheel cylinder I can’t get the bleed screw open on the rear . Replaced a front caliper because it was stuck when I went to change pads . Same thing happened last time I did pads stuck caliper then can’t get it bled . Finally found some help last night spent 2 hours and couldn’t get it bled . Last time I took it to s friend and he used some kind of bleeder and got it bled . So I’m thinking I’ll get one of those pressure bleeders and see what happens . Looks like my other truck probably has a stuck caliper Also
