When I switch my heater from floor to vent, I have to turn down the fan or it just keeps blowing on the floor. I think the blower is overpowering the "flapper". Once it's back on vent I can crank up the blower and it stays there.

Has anyone else had this problem?

What's more likely:

A vacuum leak?

Vacuum pump going bad?

A bad "flapper mover"?

Any advice before I start taking things apart?

Thanks,

Kyle

Check for vacuum leaks or oil in hoses first. The hose to the cruise control actuator under the drivers side battery is usually the first to go due to battery acid.
