Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Vacuum pump and KDP tab

I have to do the vac pump rebuild and I need to tab the KDP. Is there any advantage to doing both at the same time? Any advice?

They are essentially unrelated as far as what has to be done to address each. The only advantage is your truck is only down for the duration of the 2 projects and you only get your hands dirty once!
