I recently noticed oil leaking from the back of the engine. At first I thought it was a pan gasket. After a trip to the dealer it was decided that it was either the power steering pump or vacuum pump and it was trailing to the back of the engine. The dealer put a dye in the power steering fluid. I was under the engine today with my UV light and there is no indication of the dye in the oil thats seeping out. This leads to the over priced vacuum pump. Im sure its the o-ring that seats around the power steering pump shaft. Someone posted that they found an o-ring that will work versus buying a new vacuum pump. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
