Archived vacuum pump

What are the results of a vacuum pump failure? Do the HVAC controls stop working?:2003, 2500 stock except for guages.

I think 2002 was last year w/ vacuum pump. I think the 2003 + use electric acuators. Could be you are victom of the dreaded boken damper door. Others may chime in who have had the problem... knock on wood my wife's is still good.

Sorry but I was unable to discern specifically what is the issue at hand.
If you're trying to troubleshoot a HVAC system that stopped working, recommend to post in the 3rd gen forum as many more eyes are likely to see there. Also recommend give some detailed description about what has happened. Good luck!

My HVAC starting acting up a fews months ago and thought I had the door issues like other folks. Found a bad vacuum line. Check all your under hood vacuum lines. We cut the line off an old blood pressure cup/reader with the hand pump to find the leaking line.
