I don,t want a kit for almost a 100 . Ijust need the switch . I can design and build the setup.

Are you looking for a valve to operate the CAD? I can help you locate a valve, are you looking for a mechanical or electrical operator? Just a note, not all electical valve will work with vacumme, Grangers has some that will work for about $35. 00.

Hey guys, if you want to still use vacuum to create 2 low, just buy Bob's kits. It is very fairly priced and he has worked out all the details much better that any other vacuum kit. It is not like he is getting rich making the kits. Geezzz SNOKING

Thanks SNOKING, I am definitely not getting rich! With the price breaks I get I'm not sure if most people could save much or any money. The fittings, filter vents, tubing, shipping, and everything else adds up quickly. I know that retail on the push connect fittings I use is about $5. 00 ea

I got one of Bobs kit a few monts back. Great Kit easy to install and it works great.

One of the best mods I have done.

I am sure your kit is great bob. I like to engineer mine own upgrades when possible,ie. switch type ,location etc.

I found the solenoid at Car Quest part # vs13 or GM # 19997168

less than 25 Bucks with electrical connectors

switch cost up to you

A good solenoid in a leak free system will hold CAD open

Thanks for input everyone

I will chime back in after install Oo.

I'm not sure how you are planning on using this valve, is it a two way, a three way or a four way?

Ah! Bob let him learn the hard way!!!! Over the years I have seen you explain how the CAD works and why you use the valve the you sourced. It is all there for someone to search and read. Some people just do not want to think that someone else maybe knows more than they do. As you know there are other kits out there that work similar to this, that is they only do the job half way. Snoking ,Why do you seem so concerned about how I build my truck? I have installed all mods myself since new. I think I am qualified to design a setup that will work. These forums need people with optimism that want to help and learn ,not pessimists that know it all. Remember anyone can build a better or at least less expensive mouse trap.

. So try to be an optomist . These Forums need more of that. I'ts the guy that thinks their are no others smarter than they, that may have a problem

KS,

I really don't think SnoKing was trying to slam you. If you have followed the 2-lo threads at all you would know that Bob V is somewhat of an authority on it. He has tried various different approaches.

When I referred you to read one of Bobs threads in regards to Bob's kit, you should have read that he told I believe Texas Diesel to contact him & he would help him acquire a valve that he uses on his kit. Nothing more! If you want to do the RD on your own, so be it. I personally bought Bobs kit because he has done all the research on what works & what doesn't.

I say, go for it! No skin off my nose or anyone elses for that matter. Don't take this as a slam because it's certainly not meant that way... . I'm sure Bob will help you acquire a valve if you send him a PM.

Correct. SNOKING

Thank you all. It should have been obvious early on in this thread that I knew of Bob V . I want to keep the switch electric. I am using a three port switch. When the vacuum to transfer case shuts off then vacuum is applied to release side of CAD. Thanks again . I'm in to this 30 bucks

Bob V seems like a real honest guy to step up and offer to find me a switch without trying to push a kit on me. :) :) I wasn't trying to get in a ******* match. Thanks Again to everyone

Again, I think that you should talk to Bob about the valve you intend to use. I believe that the one he uses has 4 vacuum connections. That is two in and two out. He has both manual and electic ones that he sources. With three ports, I do not believe that you can reverse the vacuum to the CAD in both the locked and unlock mode. SNOKING

Snoking ,Thanks again , But you seem to be the only person who doesn't understand I know of Bob V. You can disable vacuum to the transfer case and at the same time apply vacuum to the CAD release diaphram :--)
