80's chevy crew cummins conversion and dodge dash implant

Candidate for a Cummins - 1977 Military Ambulance -

I'm still gathering parts for my conversion, and I was wondering what you guys's thoughts were on vacuum systems - I'm seriously considering finding a deal on a Dodge/Wabco vac pump, but which ones are the best? 2 piece, 3 piece, old, new?

Going hydroboost would work, but there's still some vacuum controls on my cruise and A/C I'd have to power from somewhere. Has anybody done much with electric pumps, maybe like off the superduties? Would they work to run the dash stuff, and use hydro-booster for the brakes? If I did that, I wonder if there's an air compressor that'd stack in front of the ps pump :-laf ?

Some of the ones I've seen shopping around are from pickups with hydroboost brakes - now, I'm guessing they must be a smaller pump, but they look pretty similar. How much different are they?

I would imagine that if they are NOT specifically for the Cummins they wouldn't work in the stock location. The B motor vacuum pump mounts on the accessory drive with the power steering pump hanging on it's backside.
